What are the requirements?

  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Meet the renting minimum age.
  • Have a major credit card in their name at the time of rental with available credit. In addition to the anticipated cost of the rental, an additional amount may be required.

What is the minimum rental?

The minimum charge is one day, plus mileage, if applicable. Daily rental rates are based on 24 hours (1-day rental) starting at the time of rental. There is a 0:59 minute grace period for return.   After the grace period, the renter will be charged for each hour, until the vehicle is returned, up to the applicable daily rate.  Mileage charges, if applicable, will be the number of miles driven as determined by the odometer readings at the beginning and end of the rental. To extend the rental agreement, the renter must contact Caesar’s Rent a Car, to avoid an increase of USD$10.00 per day on the daily rental price. If the renter fails to comply with the conditions applicable to the rate, including any driving restrictions, a mileage charge, surcharge, or other rates will be applied.

What do you consider a Valid Driver License?

Caesar’s Rent a Car requires that each customer and additional drivers meet the minimum age requirement and present a valid driver’s license at the time of rental. U.S. or Country License accompanied with an International license and passport, current home address (not P.O. Box), current home and local contact number, and second contact phone number (cell or business).

The driver’s license must be valid at the time of rental and remain valid throughout the rental period. Driver’s licenses accepted in the U.S. are:

  • A license issued by any U.S. State/Province of Residence.
  • A valid driver’s license issued by a province or territory of Canada.
  • A temporary driver’s license will be accepted with an expired DL card only (not canceled DL), valid for the entire rental period.
  • The license must be inspected at the time of rental.

Do I need International Driver’s Permit / License?

Yes, international renters are strongly advised to have an International Drivers Permit / License (IDP) and present it, together with their national driver’s license, at the time of rental. An International Driver’s Permit is not acceptable by itself.

  • The license must be issued from the Country of Residence.
  • All drivers must have a valid non-expired driving license.
  • International Drivers Permit is required if the license is not in English.
  • If the foreign issued driver’s license is from a country where “permanent” or “non-expiring” driver’s licenses are issued, the renter and any additional drivers will also be required to show their passport, visa or other current U.S. issued documentation at the beginning of the rental, authorizing the renter or driver to be present in the USA at the time of rental.

What is an International Driver’s Permit / License?

Notes:

  • An International Driver’s Permit / International Driver’s License is a translation booklet, carried with your actual country driver’s license when driving outside of your home country.   It enables foreign officials to comprehend your actual state or nationally issued driver’s license and is not an indication of the status, restrictions, or type of license the individual holds.
  • An International Driver’s Permit allows you to drive a private motor vehicle abroad when accompanied by a valid driver’s license.
  • Customers are not allowed to rent a vehicle with only an International Driver’s Permit.

What is the age requirement to rent a car with Caesar’s Rent A Car?

  • The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years.
  • Renters and authorized drivers under the age of 25 are subject to an underage charge of USD/$15.00 per day.
  • Drivers under the age of 25 must present proof of their full coverage insurance as well as a major credit card in their name.
  • Rental rates may be higher for renters between the ages of 21 and 24.
  • Certain specialty and larger-sized vehicles may not be rented to drivers under the age of 25.   If you have any questions about underage driving restrictions, please contact Caesar’s Rent A Car prior to your arrival at the rental counter.

Exceptions: Renters between the ages of 21-24 may not rent vehicles in the following car classes:

  • Minivans
  • Passenger Vans
  • Full-Size SUVs
  • Premium SUVs

Can I add an additional driver on the contract?”

Additional drivers are allowed with the following criteria being met:

  • Additional drivers must meet all qualifications as the primary driver in regard to age and driver license requirements.
  • Additional drivers must present a valid driver’s license.
  • Additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter.
  • Additional drivers must present a major credit card in their name at the time of rental.

How much is the fee for an additional driver?

There is no fee for an additional authorized driver.

Note: Vehicle may be driven only by an authorized driver. An “authorized driver” is the renter and any additional person who appears at the time of rental and signs the rental agreement.

What methods of payment are accepted?

Credit Cards: To qualify to rent a vehicle with Caesar’s Rent A Car, the renter must present a major credit card at the time of rental. A credit card must be presented with available credit, in the renter’s name. If the renter reserved online, the name printed on the card presented by the renter must match the name booked for the online transaction and identification presented.

  • The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card.
  • A charge of the estimated cost for the rental will be placed on the renter’s credit card.
  • A hold will be placed on the renter’s credit card for deposit.

Credit Cards Honored: The following credit cards are accepted for rentals in the US:

  • American Express®
  • MasterCard®
  • VISA®
  • Discover® Network

Debit Cards: Debit Cards will be accepted with proof of a round trip travel ticket (airline, cruise ship or train) at time of rental.

Cash Qualification: For security reasons, cash payment is accepted with a major credit card only, at the time of the rental.

Virtual Credit Cards: Caesar’s Rent A Car does not accept virtual credit cards.

Key Ring – Credit Cards: Caesar’s Rent A Car does not accept the small credit cards issued by credit card companies that fit on a key ring.

Prepaid cards: Prepaid Visa/MasterCard is not accepted as a form of payment at Time of Rental.

Can I pay for the rental in advance?

Pre-payment for rentals is accepted under special circumstances, with the prior approval of the renter and our office management.

  • Credit Card Authorization Form is required.
  • We do not accept payment over the phone or online.
  • Your payment is taken at the time of pick-up.
  • The renter is considered the primary driver of the vehicle and is responsible for payment with a credit card in their name.
  • The renter of the vehicle must be present to sign the rental agreement at the time of pick up and cannot provide their credit or debit card for someone else to use.

Can I pay for the rental of a vehicle for another individual?

Yes, all customers will require a deposit in the amount of $300.00 to $500.00 plus the actual estimated cost of the rental. This amount will be held as authorization on your credit card at the time of rental.

  • The actual deposit amount can vary depending on what part of the country you will be picking up a vehicle as well as the approximate total cost of your rental.
  • Any unused portion of the deposit will be refunded upon return of the vehicle to the customer’s credit card.
  • Total cost is based on the size of the vehicle you are going to rent, how long you would like to rent the vehicle, and if you accept additional optional items. You will be required to provide the cost of the rental and an additional deposit hold amount over the actual cost of the rental.

When will my deposit be returned to my credit card?

If you are returning the vehicle within normal business hours, the deposit amount on your credit card will be processed at the time of return.

If returning after hours when our office is closed, your deposit will be processed upon the satisfactory check of the rental vehicle the next business day.

  • The time it takes for you to see this transaction reflected in your account can vary based on your banking institution.
  • Please contact our office directly if you have any questions concerning the processing of your deposit refund.

Am I allowed to take my rental vehicle into Mexico?

Caesar’s vehicles are not allowed to travel into Mexico unless:

  • You have a corporate contract agreement that allows you to travel into Mexico border cities to USA.
  • For travel into Mexico, you will be required to purchase Insurance covering the rental vehicle while in Mexico.
  • Mexican citizens may not take US-owned rental vehicles into Mexico at any time.
  • Mexican insurance is required to buy at the time of rental.

Vehicles are allowed in Mexico cities/states closes to the California and Arizona Borders only with Mexico Insurance.

Vehicles that may be allowed to travel into Mexico:

  • 8 Passenger van.
  • 12 Passenger van.
  • 15 Passenger van.

Is the mileage unlimited on my rental?

Our vehicles come with 200 free mileages per day. Any additional miles are $0.30 cents per mile.

Can I rent in one city and returned to another city?

One-way rentals within the United States are available on passenger vans only. A one-way drop fee will apply.

Do I need to refuel the vehicle?

Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental to avoid refueling charges.

  • The renter is responsible to verify the fuel gauge before signing the rental agreement or inspection sheet.
  • There is no credit or refund given for any extra fuel in the tank at the end of the rental.
  • Before returning, may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle.
